The Camping Buddy DIY Kit comes with 4 individual flames (ranging from 10" - 7" tall, circumference will vary depending on how you arrange the campfire), 12 rocks, and 4 logs.(logs are approximately 10" long)
Additional option to add sticks and marshmallows. “Dowel stick” refers to plain wooden dowel sticks, “Felt encased dowels” refers to brown felt covered wooden dowels. See photos for reference)
THIS IS A DIY KIT: please read description carefully before purchasing. Now, just in case... "DIY" stands for "Do It Yourself" and requires a small amount of craftiness.
There are two levels of DIYs available: Simple and Advanced.
Which DIY kit is best for me?
Simple DIYs
All patterns in a Simple DIY are already cut and stitched together (as much as possible before stuffing) You fill them with the stuffing of your choice and sew the openings closed. This "DIY" project is practically completed for you: patterns cut, sewn, turned right side out, partially hand stitched - almost everything that can be done before filling them with stuffing has been done for you!
Advanced DIY
An advanced DIY is not sewn. Patterns are cut and ready to be sewn by you. Easy to follow instructions are provided. A sewing machine is recommended for best results in terms of durability and your time. You will need to provide your own sewing machine thread. Don't let the word "Advanced" scare you; you really only need to have some basic knowledge of sewing!
For both kinds of DIYs : The only supplies you need are: stuffing (polyester filling is best), some cardboard, needle & scissors. Instructions are provided. Advanced DIYs will also require sewing machine thread and pins.

Please note that stuffing is NOT included in our DIY Kits. We do this in order to offer you the most economical price. DIY kits help you save money as well as give you the satisfaction (and we hope fun!) of creating your own campfire set. Maybe it will give you a chance to use up that extra stuffing you may already own. It also provides an opportunity to be eco concious and up-cycle polyester filling from old stuffed animals or cushions. In the instructions, we will give you information on how to incorporate fabric scraps into the filling as well. How great is that?
